Jacobs and ISEF: Driving the Next Generation of STEAM Innovators

Jacobs recently partnered with the Society for Science to serve as the champion of the Environmental Engineering category at the Society’s annual International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) May 16-21. ISEF is the world’s premier pre-collegiate competition and talent pipeline that fosters the best and brightest minds through more than 400 affiliated science fairs in 80+ countries, regions and territories around the world.

This global partnership enables Jacobs to impact thousands of STEAM students to support the next generation of STEAM innovators and nurture a diverse talent pipeline. Tens of millions of students compete in science fairs every year around the globe at local, regional and national levels, with hundreds of thousands of students going on to compete in the Society’s affiliated fairs.

The Environmental Engineering category celebrates projects that engineer or develop processes and infrastructure to solve environmental problems in water supply, waste disposal, land reclamation or pollution control. As a Developer-level sponsor of ISEF and the champion for the category, nearly 30 Jacobs employees volunteered at ISEF and Jacobs People & Places Solutions Executive Vice President, Ken Gilmartin, delivered the congratulatory remarks to the award-winning students via video message.
