Design philosophy prioritizes research
Cambridge, Massachusetts is globally recognized as one of the leading innovation districts in the world. Due to the proliferation of competing firms for talent, our client invested in forward-thinking design to provide space to support, attract and retain talent.
We designed the scientific processes taking place in labs, offices, and large and small gathering areas to be on display through glass walls and open spaces throughout the facility. At the center of the floor plate, a multi-use communal area with an interconnecting stair unites two floors into one open space.
The large gathering space, offices, and conference spaces are designed to be reconfigured to accommodate a variety of working styles and needs, from small impromptu meetings to large company-wide gatherings.
Foundation Medicine was selected as one of the Top Places to Work for by Boston Globe with its interesting research programs and quality of its work environment.
